Overview of the Ditch Candida Diet

Foods to Avoid:

  • All sweeteners other than Stevia or Xylitol must be avoided.  This includes honey, maple syrup, agave, and any form of sugar.
  • All Processed Foods including sandwich meats, most sausages, and pretty much anything canned, boxed, or bagged. 
  • All Fruits, including fresh, frozen, fruit juices, and fruit concentrates. (This is one area that our program differs from many others out there, but all fruits feed the candida.)
  • All Grains, Seeds, Beans, & Legumes including quinoa, tofu, rice, millet, flax, chia, and edamame.  (This is another area where our program is different...and effective.)
  • Starchy Vegetables including potatoes and corn.
  • Alcohol of any kind, soda, and diet soda.
  • Any condiments or dressings containing sugar, preservatives, or chemicals.

Foods to Enjoy:

  • Vegetables
  • Mushrooms
  • Leafy Greens and Microgreens
  • Herbs and Spices
  • Eggs
  • Dairy (in moderation if you tolerate it well) including butter, cheese, kefir, cream, whey protein, and yogurt.
  • Nuts including Almonds, Brazil Nuts, Pecans, and Walnuts
  • Healthy Oils & Fats including coconut oil, olive oil, ghee, avocado oil, and butter.
  • Meats including chicken, seafood, beef, and wild game.
  • Beverages such as tea, coffee, smoothies, bone broth, beet kvass, and lots and lots of water.
